Climbing on multi pitch routes with a mountain guide
The rock climbing course on multi pitch routes is aimed at those who have already taken part in an advanced climbing course, at those who lead climbing routes with a minimum difficulty of 5B and so have acquired good climbing skills.
This course is for you if you want to tackle multi pitch sport routes already equipped climbing big walls. You will learn the techniques of safety and progression, which means to use the proper equipment along the route, to set up a stop, the dynamic safety with brake to the lead climber, to recover the second rope climber from a stop, the descent on double rope and the use of some quick protections.
The course takes place onto the most beautifuls walls of sarca Valley. We will stay together for two half days, in the morning or in the afternoon. You will be part of a small group and I will be there with you, attentive to your needs, to follow your improvements.

Meeting point
The parking area is located near the center of Arco, in the Caneve area. It is convenient, spacious, free of charge, and easy to reach, even on foot.

I provide all the equipment, including personal items (shoes, harness and helmet) if you do not have your own with you.
No it’s not necessary. I climb first and, once the stop is equipped, I help you up with the rope from the top.
Yes, there are easy routes even in the Dolomites.
There are easy routes, which are not too steep and are ideal as a first experience of multi pitch routes. The minimum grade required is a 4C-5A.
No, it’s not necessary, on the course you will meet up with other people with skills, experience and goals similar to yours.
It depends, the minimum grade required is 5B and you must be able to lead climb the first pitch.
The Sarca valley is famous for its mild climate and therefore we can climb all year round. In the Dolomites however you can climb only in the summer.
I would recommend you take the multi pitch course in the Sarca valley and afterwards climb several routes in the company of a mountain guide. The Sarca valley has a mild climate which allows climbing all year long. We can reach the start of a route in a short time and complete a climb in a few hours. Climbing a few long routes with a mountain guide will help you to understand how to face a rocky wall.
