Via ferrata dei Laghi Cermis Skyline
Excursion to the Lakes of Bombasel in Fiemme Valley with an alpine guide
The via ferrata dei Laghi is located in the Fiemme Valley by the three lakes of Bombasel and it is reachable through the Cermis cable car. The approach starts on the Paion Peak of the Cermis and a 50 minute walk takes you to the beginning of the via ferrata.
It is a loop itinerary and it consists of two via ferrata: the Vertigo and the Highway. The via ferrata, built in 2018, is easy with a few vertical passages but well equipped and suitable for families as well: it is the ideal excursion to approach the vertical world and to spend a day at a high altitude among stunning wild scenarios at over 2000 meter high.
The via ferrata dei Laghi is worth climbing just for its scenarios: the emerald green and the typical blue of the mountain lakes are waiting for us together with barren fields and the main Dolomite Groups of Fiemme and Fassa Valley.
We will depart together from Arco with my van and in approx.1 hour and a half we will reach the cable car station of Cermis in Cavalese. The approach of the via ferrata is located at a 50 minute walk from the top cable car station. The path on the via ferrata lasts approximately 2 hours and a half and we will go back along the footpath on a grassy ridge.
Before descending using the mountain railways, we can picnic or have lunch in the mountain hut located just by the cable car. After a well deserved break, we descend into the valley with the cable car and we go back to Arco using my van.

Meeting point
The parking area is located near the center of Arco, in the Caneve area. It is convenient, spacious, free of charge, and easy to reach, even on foot.

No, the gloves required for the activity are provided by us and included in the price.
You can still bring your own pair if you prefer to use personal gloves.
Bring a lightweight backpack with a jacket, drinking water and a snack/energy bar.
A pair of low trekking shoes or trainers are fine, sandals even those with a trekking sole are not suitable.
Wear comfortable and sportive clothing.
Yes, you will feel enthusiast when you climb attached to a metal cable and you will feel extremely safe.
No climbing skills are required. A via ferrata helps you to arrive at the summit without needing any climbing or mountaineering skills.
